What Should Be on a Church Financial Dashboard?

The metrics pastors, executive leaders and finance teams actually need from a church financial dashboard.

Start with questions, not charts

A church dashboard should answer: Are we on plan? How much can we safely use? Where are we headed? What needs attention? Can we afford what we are considering?

Use different views for different people

Finance needs detail. Executive leadership needs context. Ministry leaders need their own budget availability. A strong system uses one financial model but different levels of detail.

Always show data freshness

If spending was last updated five weeks ago, leadership should know that immediately. A clean dashboard with stale data can be more dangerous than an ugly spreadsheet.

Bring the planning layer together

Luke Twelve is designed to make these planning disciplines usable in one place: budgets, forecasts, cash visibility, ministry ownership, scenarios and leadership reporting.
